Rachel is an award-winning screenwriter, director, author, and editor. A short-story writer at heart, Rachel’s more recent venture into screenwriting has opened up new creative paths she’s really excited about. Having directed her first short film this January, “The Squirrels in the Attic,” (currently in the film festival circuit,) she’s in the trenches of pre-production for her second film, “In the Company of Crows.” Professionally, Rachel has worked as the American Meteorological Society’s news editor and in media relations for over two decades. As a self-taught screenwriter and new filmmaker, Rachel looks forward to continued learning of the craft and collaborating with fellow filmmakers on future projects.
Christina Smith is a recent graduate of Wheaton College, where she studied Film and Creative Writing. Her poetry has been published in The Albion Review, Rushlight, and in two collections from Z Publishing House for emerging writers. She also contributes articles about film and TV to Film School Rejects, and is currently working on freelance digital media projects for the MIT Sloan Digital Learning Series and This Girl Runs the Show.
Rachel Bailit is an actress and faculty member at The Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute in Los Angeles. In addition, she currently teaches acting at Dreamworks Animation, Warner Animation Group, SAG-AFTRA, Sol Acting Studios, Boston Casting, and The Getty Museum. She specializes in coaching actors, public speakers, politicians, writers and animators. She created and operated “Compassionate Casting”, casting actors in film, TV and commercials.
Rachel’s acting credits include:three new movies:“The Shade”, “Marzipan” and “Staying Sane”. Former credits include “Festival In Cannes”, “The Grinch Who Stole Christmas”, “The Conan O’Brien Show”, “Desperate Housewives”, “Jon Benjamin Has a Van”, “Tim and Eric’s Awesome Show”, “NYPD Blue” and the role of “Marissa” in “General Hospital”.
She is an advocate for Veterans and inspiring people to communicate from the heart!
